Rufus Stone

I have formed a new band Rufus Stone (translated to spanish Piedra De Rufus). My self Gary Farrell; singer/songwriter, lead guitar and vocals, Lional Sardeña; bass guitar and vocals and Dave Diggle; drums and backing vocals. The name Rufus goes back to King William 1, his son was called Rufus and was killed by his cousin in a hunting accident but you can read all about Rufus if you go on the web and type rufus stone into google. It is also a place I used to drive passed and thought it would be a good name for a band. I have performed in many great places including the middle East and Germany with one of my previous bands Red Hot & Blue and all over the USA including LA playing 70's music with Thick as Thieves and Polyester. I finally moved to Spain about 4 years ago. You can catch me doing my solo gigs in many venues in and around the Torrevieja, La Marina and Santa Pola areas. I am well known for wearing a baseball cap you will always see me wearing one at my gigs. I just love playing live, the interaction you get with the audience is second to none. I have many musical influences dating back to the 50´s and love the Beatles songs maybe because of my Liverpool connection! I have two CDs out at the moment ..Stop Over.. with all music and lyrics written and recorded by myself and an acoustic guitar CD ..Hear I Am.. full of brilliant cover versions. The biggest buzz you can get is when you are recording your own songs and seeing the finished article, then unwrapping the CD and playing it for the very first time.
